Mickey Dollens committed to SMU according to Rivals after offers and visits to Colorado St, Tulsa , Louisiana Monroe and Missouri State which I believe is the old Southwest Missori St? Right? No word as to whether they are thinking of getting the band back together. Not yet rated by Rivals on the 6 point scale but rated a 2 star.

Do you think this fellow was second choice to Henry Neutei or whatever his name was that went to TCU?

We stole him from Tulsa's backyard....
And yes, I think that you could probably assume that since he didn't visit until after Niutei went to TCU that he is probably the replacement.
Too bad we didn't get to Niutei, but I will again say that the fact that our "replacement" players are getting offered by several schools is a big uptick from past years.

JasonB you actually think that the fact that close to half our high school recruits did not receive Division 1A offers is a positive?

Wow -- I read JasonB's post as saying the fact that some of our recruits DID get Div. IA offers is a positive.
But look at the world however you like.

Oh, really, so Sowe and Bon are 1/2 of our recruits? I assume that you aren't including Rhodes or Gonzales in that assessment because we got to them first and both were highly regarded by the end of the year.
Go take your Mydol and chill out. All I was saying is that there have been a couple of cases now where we have taken a backup (or even third) plan and still ended up with a pretty decent recruit. In past years, our last several scholarships were ALL taken by guys that nobody had ever heard about. The only player who really fits that bill right now is Bon, I believe, because it sounds like we had targeted Sowe as a sleeper early on.
