Todd was a greyshirt LB recruit last year. Does anyone know how he is doing?

Martin Guidry, Bryan Turner, Brandon Jones, and Todd Alexander are no longer on the roster. Recent change.

My understanding is that SMU signed 20 including 4 grayshirts. The 16 remaining included 3 jucos and Pete Fleps who sat out a year after graduating from HS. I also understand that 3 walk ons currently on the roster were awarded scholarships- Ferguson WR, Hiemenz LB/S, and a Punter which is either Morstead or Galloway. That makes 23 new scholarships awarded of which 4 will enroll in Jan 2007. Can anyone confirm this?

Mickey,
You are correct. The punter is Thomas Morstead, who was here last year.

I am curious as to how we seem to know that Tubbs is out, Phillips will never play, DM was illegally arrested, etc. but no one can tell me what happened to Todd Alexander. Did he just choose not to enroll? Did he go somewhere else? I am just curious because he was a fairly highly touted athlete coming in to help fill a position that needs help. Anyone?

That's the way it was told to me. Why he made that decision, I don't know. Maybe he was homesick, injured .... who knows. But that's what I was told -- he chose not to enroll at all.

Todd had a great 3 point shot, always a spark coming off the bench. During that magical 87-88 season, which saw the Ponies travel to the BIG SHOW, Todd avg'd. over 14 ppg off the bench. Unfortunately, he struggled with academics....good kid, alot of fond memories.....long live J D Green.

So you will accept that rumor as fact, but when I ask for people's comments on a rumor I heard I am destroying the program?

I hope you people begin to practice what you preach and never say another disparaging word about Bush, Clinton (Bill or Hillary), Cheny or anyone else without substantial documented evidence that you have presented to the board to back it up.

I did, because others complained to him personally, if I were him I wouldn't want to deal with it either, but you need to realize that what you were upset with me for this morning is what you do everyday on the board.
