Is it safe to say only Burley (Arizona), Hurst (K-State) and McCann (Stanford) received BCS offers?

In 2003, Chris Phillips (A&M, Arkansas), Richuel Massey (UT, Miami, UCLA, Florida, Alabama), Lucky DeLay (West Virginia), Avery Cleveland (Colorado), Zach Hall (Iowa State), Cory Muse (Ok State), CD Moss (Arkansas) and Joe Sturdivant (GA Tech) all received BCS offers, while RJ Meeks and Justin Boren, both 3-star players, committed so early and so firmly to SMU that other schools backed off (am excluding 3-star players Desmond Jones and Ervin McGee from this list).

And in 2004 Jessie Henderson (Arkansas), DeMyron Martin (Ark/A&M), Vincent Chase (Florida, LSU, OU, Nebraska), Sean Lobo (Arizona), Kyle Griffin (Notre Dame/OK State) all received BCS offers.

I have only top BSC offers in parenthesis

Personally don’t see how anyone can say this class or last years’ class compares to PB’s first two.

I agree with that assessmnet So_Cal Pony, but as I'm reading through the roundup I can't help but get excited for football season. I realize that this is mostly propaganda and there are 119 recruiting classes that on paper look like they are going to win the national championship in the next 4 years...still it's hard not to catch the enthusiasm of these starry eyed freshman. Oh, and as usual good job Ponyfans.com on all the hard work, without you we would be lost in, as Blog put it, "...the deafening silence that is the SMU Football Fandom".
