From Rivals.com:

5' 11", 195 lbs. quarterback for South Grand Prairie is one of the top athletes in the state. He wants to play quarterback, but he can play a lot of different spots. Regardless of where he plays, he's going to be a special product of the top Texas program. Dewberry's junior season included 691 yards on the ground with seven touchdowns. He also threw for 1,260 yards and 16 touchdowns.

Colleges are definitely not shy in sending Dewberry enough mail to fill up his closet. Alabama, Missouri, Notre Dame, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, and SMU are just a few of the schools that have sent correspondence to his home. He is waiting for his first offer.

It would be nice to get a solid early commitment from someone like this. Such a commitment could give us an early jump on some of the more sought after recruits for next year! :)

Dewberry looks real talented, let's give him an offer. Exactly right if we offer him a ship and he signs that would be huge for SMU and for the 2007 class.

Except that no high school players can't sign until next February (unless they graduate early, in which case they can sign in December, I think).

noticed A&M already has gotten 2 commitments in recent days. SMU is rated at the Top of the list for an interesting but a little small Safety out of Allen-forgot his name. Another kid from Allen also rated SMU highly. Just some tidbits-don't really get too terribly interested until they are evaluated and rated later in the Summer. I expect though that UT will have 10 commitments within the next 2 months.
