DALLAS COWBOYS PLAY HOST TO NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL ALL-STAR COMBINE
Area high school football players gather information to help with college recruiting
WHAT: The Dallas Cowboys are scheduled to host the National High School All-Star Combine (NHSASC) on Saturday, February 25 at the team’s Indoor Practice Facility at Valley Ranch. One-hundred high school football players from across North Texas will be in attendance. The event, organized by NHSASC, is an effort to provide student athletes an efficient method of gathering their athletic information for college recruitment and expose their results to every college in the U.S. – an opportunity that might not be provided otherwise.
The goal of the NHSASC is to bring together local professional sports teams and community high school football organizations with student athletes in order to promote positive youth development and further education by providing assistance with the college recruiting process.
NHSASC offers non-biased reliable information for evaluating and recruiting college bound student athletes. The combine results allow the college recruiters to be more efficient in finding student athletes that fit their program needs. The NHSASC provides a very important step for the student athlete by exposing his results to every college in the U.S. and will enable the college recruiter to review more student athletes than ever before.
This is the second year the Dallas Cowboys have hosted the NHSASC. The NHSASC invited student athletes from across North Texas to participate – a maximum of three to four athletes from each school could register. One-hundred student athletes, accompanied by their coach or parent, are scheduled to go through work outs. The participating students are currently classified as juniors and will enter their senior year of play this fall.
