Russ Brabec Profile

Tight End Russ Brabec has made the move from Mississippi AAA private school Jackson Academy to 5A public school Madison Central. Russ was part of a magical season for JA in 2005 that ended in a perfect season and a State Championship. He is starting to hear from some colleges about possibly playing at the next level.
"I am hearing from Memphis, Central Florida, Princeton and Houston," said Russ.

Russ likes those schools, but there are a few more he would like to hear from.

"I am interested in any school that offers me a scholarship, but I would say I am most interested in Memphis, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, UAB, Central Florida and SMU," explained Brabec.

Russ has plans to camp this Summer at Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt and SMU.

When asked what he does well Russ said, "I am a good blocker. We didn't throw the ball a lot to the Tight End at JA, so I would say my blocking ability."

Russ claims that the campus atmosphere, team chemistry and the coaching staff will be factors that weigh heavily in his college decision.

Russ will attend the Scout.com combine in Oxford, MS on April 30th.

it seems odd that he is considering us and not USM, think that is a misunderstanding on his part?
