Won't be a sleeper for long

Houston (Booker T. Washington) athlete Ernest Eastland headlines Washington's list because of his size and athleticism. The 6-foot-4, 210-pounder stars on the basketball team and will play quarterback entering his senior season. He played much of his time at receiver last year, and could project as a head-hunting safety in college.

"I want to play football in college and I think I could be a great receiver or safety because of my size and speed," Eastland said. "I open right now as far as colleges go."

Eastland is open because no one knows about him. He attends a Houston-area SPARQ camp this week and will be doing some one-day local camps this summer to get some recognition.

"He's a legit prospect," Washington assistant coach Dan Colbert said. "He's versatile and physical enough to get recognized."
