I saw a blurb on ESPN that OU released three or four of their freshman recruits from their letters. Any of those kids worth pursuing?

They are absolutely worth pursuing. OU had one of the best recruiting classes in the country. However, as some will no doubt tell you, it is the longest of longshots.

But if other schools have already filled up their classes, some of these guys might still be a little more sympathetic to coming to the Hilltop. On the other hand they may also have some ineligibility issues if there was payola involved in their recruitment. Still any one of them would help our team.

In that case we can no longer afford them.

I would think they're definitely worth pursuing. I know Kentucky has been rumored to be waiting for one guy to be released from an OU commitment -- anyone know which three have gotten the go-ahead to look elsewhere?

I checked the ESPN website here's their information.
McDonald's All-American guard Scottie Reynolds and forwards Damion James and Jeremy Mayfield were all granted releases

Theoretically, if they were looking forward to playing together before Sampson left, we would be one of the only schools in the country that could accomidate them.

Well let's see Doherty work that magic everyone has been talking about. His two years start...NOW.

Not sure where the attitude is coming from but MD has shown nothing but good things since being signed, oh two years, I get it, another one stuck in the past. Get over it.

Damion James is the one I heard Kentucky likes a lot.

Someone posted earlier some where else, I think Stallion, that all of them had some serious academic/qualifying problems. Anyone know for sure? It is possible that none of them could even meet the requirements to talk to them.

Saw that the kid from Irving (forgot his name) signed with UAB.
