There is a current video out on this kid on Rivals. Interesting in that he is from Elk Grove, California. I thought we only recruited players within a 300 mile radius of SMU? :?

From a Rivals article last week, "He is a player that is getting some good early attention but is still looking for his first offer. He has talked with coaches at places like Oklahoma State, SMU, Louisiana Lafayette, Tulsa, Texas A&M and other schools across the country. He's aggressively sending out his tape trying to find somebody that's willing to take a chance on a 6-foot-2 ½, 315-pounder with great heart and amazing desire.

"I have pretty good feet for being my size," he said. "I was 325 pounds when the film people are getting was taken, and my feet are so much better now. I'm strong and can really read well. I can take on a double and triple team and make the play still. I'm your typical nose guard type of guy."

Brallier is working hard to get down to 290 pounds by the start of his season. He did time a 4.97-second time in the shuttle recently and he did 27 repetitions in the bench press too. He's scheduled to be at the Eugene NIKE Training Camp."

OK, from what I read this guy could be good - After a year with Coach Faucette.

Does anyone know what his grades are like? What he wants to major in?
SAT score.

Oh, BTW, what is a good score on the new SAT.

They keep dumbing it down.

The coaches have said they want to emphasize recruiting in a 300 mile radius, and they should. But if a player sends a tape and he lives outside of that radius, there is certainly no unwritten rule that says he can not be recruited. In reading the article, it seems to me that HE is pursuing SMU along with many others, not that we are pursuing him. He probably sent his tape and received a form letter back. I see no indication that we are interested. Maybe yes, maybe no.

Most people still report their score in the old format, out of 1600, but that is a bit skewed as the test format changed. A good score on the new is 1900+. I don't know what the average is, maybe 1400-1500?
