Drove through campus this morning (Monday), and saw a lot of HS-aged guys walking into Ford Stadium.

Chasen Stangel, the Cali QB, really enjoyed the visit and is high on SMU.

Per rivals:
6-0, 184, 4.96
Lists medium interest in New Mexico, Purdue, Wyoming, New Mexico State, SMU, UTEP, Idaho and Utah State. Reports that all of them have extended an official offer.

Looks like a nice prospect, we need some solid QB recruits, it will make a huge impact.

Threw for over 2,400 yards last season. Possibly looking to move to Texas soon also.

Stallion;
What do you care if we have a midget at QB or not. You don't go to the games anyway! It doesn't matter if he's a midget if he can WIN does it?

You're just a tad incorrect. I haven't missed an SMU home football game in 41 years. And I already saw the other offers but I'm sick and tired of SMU filling their QB slot with midgets whose height they have to "exaggerate" by 1-2 inches. I'd like to actually get one of the Top 7-8 QBs in Texas for a change. Just once every 4 years or so.

Why does the QB have to be from Texas if there was an equal player to the top 7 or 8 in Texas but he was from Idaho would you still take him?

Also the 6' is verified by Rivals so he has ot be 6' which is not too terribly short.

I'd prefer both talent and size over "just talent" or "just size," but I will take "just talent" over "just size" any day of the week.
