Two three star Texas Top 100 players, who show medium interest in SMU. Opeseyitan has one school with high interest over us, maybe Texas? Acho is medium interest for all right now. I think we have a pretty good shot to get Acho as long as we can keep Texas away, and as far as Opeseyitan goes same thing. These guys are both big talents that could help take SMU to the next level, they would join big-time players such as Martin, Burley, McCann, and LeRibeus just to name a few of some players who are going to change the outlook on the SMU football program.

Did you talk to him? What I read on Rivals is that Oklahoma State is leading and several others LISTED ALPHABETICALLY, with SMU being the last one listed alphabetically.

how about reading the other 10 reports too.

I just read the most recent one. I am sure you took all of the time possible to look long and hard to find where SMU was not in the hunt.

He's had about 10 reports over the last 2 months. Even the last one is pretty damn clear we ain't in his Top 4 or 5.

One of the top running backs in Texas is Allen High School standout Charles Opeseyitan, and he has made a couple of trips to the Natural State.



Charlie O is one of the best backs in Texas for 2006
Opeseyitan, 5-foot-10, 186 pounds, was most recently in Searcy (Ark.) for a 7-on-7 tournament. He also made it to Arkansas Junior Day in Fayetteville (Ark.) for the Red-White Scrimmage. Opeseyitan has said numerous times that Arkansas would make a huge push to the top of his list with a scholarship offer.

"I'm really just waiting for Arkansas to step up and offer me that scholarship," Opeseyitan said.

A scholarship offer would drastically improve Arkansas' chances, obviously. Something else that might have helped is if they offered teammate Nathan [deleted]. [deleted], a very good quarterback, was receiving strong looks from Arkansas, but he liked his options at Rice and committed late last week. Arkansas did not offer but might have eventually had [deleted] stayed in the game longer.

"He says he likes it up there," Opeseyitan said. "I was like, 'it's not what I would've thought,' I thought he might've had a better opportunity somewhere else, but this is where he feels comfortable, so I just support any decision he makes."

[deleted]'s older brother, Casey [deleted], signed with Arkansas in 2005 and started the final four games of the season as a true freshman last year. Currently, Oklahoma State appears to have an edge with Opeseyitan, followed alphabeticly by Colorado State, Indiana, Iowa State, Kansas State, Purdue, Utah and SMU. With plenty of offers in hand, camp stops are not on his mind.

"No, not really," he said. "It's just more working out and try to get in shape and get ready for the next season. I don't know right now. It's sort of up right now."

He did, however, enjoy a trip to Oklahoma State for a camp, and that is what has vaulted the Cowboys to the top of his list. A decision could come anywhere from now until signing day for him. Right now he is focused on the season ahead. As for the 7-on-7 tournament in Searcy a few weeks ago, Allen High School won it.

"It was great," he said. "We won the whole thing. It was basically like everyone was trying to play their hearts out and beat us, but we showed them what Allen, Texas is all about."

a brand new Rivals report on Oprestitiyan may give a ray of hope to SMU. He has 18 offers. He said in quotes "I have actually talked about committing to OSU" He plans to visit OSU soon and sit down with his parents and hopefully make a decision before school starts. Then he said "Iowa State, SMU, Colorado St. and Utah-they are pretty good schools too. If I don't go to OSU, I would probably look hard at them." Also plans to visit Tulsa camp on July 21.
