for a kid from Arlington Grace Prep Academy(now has transferred to Dallas Hillcrest) this kid is getting a lot of attention with offers from Baylor(favorite), Colorado St., SMU, UTEP and Tulsa. 5-9, 157 4.4 (verifed at Rivals combine at 4.6).

Wow, that's small. The kid will need to move in with Chuck Faucette for a while.

With those dimensions, he makes the great Marcus Malonson look like Shaquille O'Neal.

New report: Baylor and Tulsa lead. A brother plays at UTEP but may not sway decision. He originally was at Wilmer Huychins moved to Grace Prep when WH closed down and is now at Hillcrest.

Coached at WH that fateful year and know Derrius Bell. He is going to Hillcrest now because Mike Robinson who is now the head man at Hillcrest was at WH back then. Derrius is a GREAT kid and an outstanding ball player. He may be a little small but he plays very big. If SMU could land him then it would be a great catch as far as getting a football player and more importantly getting a quality kid in the program. I hope he comes here.

Bell has definitely moved around. His brother, Dustin, plays at UTEP as mentioned and they have offered (favorites?). An extremely disappointing showing at the Combines, especially his 30.7" vertical, but he still has received plenty of offers (including TCU which isn't shown by Rivals).

Then how could it possibly be true?

Stallion, I want to know if this guy can play or not...you are usually concerned about Midgets. Did you watch him on Rivals Video? Please, give us your expert assesment on his skills and ability!

New Report: apparently playing well on both sides of the ball at his third school Dallas Hillcrest. Quoted as saying his favorites are Tulsa, Baylor and CSU". There are no quotes about his interest in SMU. Says he's interested in staying close to home and then mentions TCU which has not offered. He also mentions interest in Wisconsin. I wouldn't hold my breath.

Quote from the article:

Bell, already a known name to several colleges before his move, is picking up more recruiting interest and has six offers to show for from the likes of TCU, Tulsa, UTEP, SMU, Baylor, and Colorado State.
