Girl's Volleyball Recruit Kathryn Wilkerson

Makes High School player of the week in the DMN. 5-11 senior outside hitter from Arlington Lamar is a two-time team captain. She had 21 kills and 14 digs Tuesday against Arlington Bowie and 36 kills in victories against Bowie and Cedar Hill last week. Coach says that she "is the heart and soul of our team. She's definitely our most diligent worker. Whe's a well-respected leader". Plus her picture looked great in the paper! :wink:

Noticed in the DMN Highschool Sports Section that Kathryn took Player of the Year honors. Another nice picture accompanies the article! 8) Key stats: 531 kills, 633 Digs, 64 Aces! She wants to study business or be a lawyer so it sounds like she has some brains to go with the Athleticism!
