One of the nation's top available big men 6-11 Joseph Katuka has narrowed his list to four schools...

We caught up with Montverde Academy Head Coach Kevin Sutton yesterday and he gave us a heads up on his fast developing big man 6-11 230-pound Joseph Katuka.

"Joseph has recovered from last spring's injury," Sutton told Hoopmasters. "He was having a better year than Solomon (Alabi) prior to getting hurt, and I think he can have the same kind of improvement this season that Solomon had during the year.

"He's surprisingly skilled on the perimeter and is a relentless rebounder," Sutton continued. "With his quick feet and left handed post up game, he causes opponents lots of prolems."

"He's narrowed his list down to four schools," Sutton said. "He's visiting St. Joseph's, SMU, and N.C. State. He's working with Virginia to set up a visit to the Cavaliers, too. That looks like his final four."

My BIG MEN statement works in Basketball too.

SMU is getting a lot of high profile looks. If/when Coach Doh get thre or four of them here - WOW.

pretty healthy competition for the big guy's services. Sounds like this could be a good signing if SMU can get him. Oh - and immediate playng time shouldn't be an issue if that's somethig the big fella cares about.
