This information is pretty new in terms of us finally offering him:
The 6-0, 181-pound speedster runs about 4.5 40 and is explosive every time he touches the ball. No. 81 on the DMN area 100.

He's averaging over 15 yards per reception in 4 TDs and 11.2 yards per carry (that's not a misprint) and 4 TDs. He also is considering Air Force, Georgia Tech, Central Florida, Duke, UL-LA, New Mexico State and Vandy.

And he is quite a student. He was recently featured on a WFAA story for accelerated students at Plano East.

The red flag is he likes baseball and Baylor is considering him for that. Obviously, that kills us if he wants to do us. But that is not a guarantee.

I've talked to one area coach who said he has great vision of the field and is equally dangerous as kickoff returner.

Sounds interesting.

offered by New Mexico St, Louisiana-Lafayette, Air Force and UCF. Rated 5.2. Baylor is just about filled up with 24 or 25 commitments so I doubt they use a football scholarship on Slater-maybe a baseball scholarship or greyshirt. Plus Baylor already has about 4 kids projecting to WR.

Think you mean Christian (Chris) Slater and yes he will play baseball for BU (already said he will). Played on the same select team a few years ago as Slayton Thomas (UT commit) and several others.

He tore a new one in the Lake Highlands D last Friday that is for sure.

I'm told the Baylor baseball thing is not as ironclad as earlier thought. I guess we'll know at early signing period that starts on Nov. 8.

I guess that means he's not coming here to play football because he can't play baseball here.
