Payne Stewart's son orally commits to SMU

Aaron Stewart, the son of the late two-time U.S. Open champion Payne Stewart, said Tuesday he has orally committed to play golf at SMU. Oral commitments are non binding.

Payne Stewart graduated from SMU in 1979, the same year he was co-champion of the Southwest Conference.

Aaron Stewart, of Olympia High in Orlando, Fla., made an official visit to SMU last weekend.

decision came down between SMU and UT...............coaches did a great job in recruiting him...........

Aaron's daddy won his last :cry: U.S. Open the day after my first daughter was born. Glad Aaron is coming home.
