So Fred Ellis (Sacramento, Calif.) and Papa Dia (South Kent, Conn.) are BOTH going to be on campus this weekend. I can't think of a better weekend for them to visit, what with the excitement about the football team's chances to beat Marshall, getting Willis back, etc.
The basketball team is practicing (open) Friday night at 9 PM and Saturday morning at 10 AM. I'm going to go, because I want to see what these guys look like, and I want to see the Ponies in action -- can't wait for the season.
Any coach who's got recruits in Dallas on a nice October afternoon undoubtedly will have these guys enjoying the Boulevard. Let's help them realize we care about hoops at SMU -- if you see Coach Doherty and a couple of tall kids, or our current basketball players with a couple of new faces hanging out with them, grab them and say hello.
AND BEAT MARSHALL!

How nice would it be to see Coach Doherty hit a three-run homer with these guys?

Wow, that is pretty exciting! I can't make it tonight, but I will be there in the morning.

That means they were not sitting in the student section.

Where's that? The students all seemed to have moved to the 50 yard line on the east side where I sit! I would say that Sec. 204 is the new student section!

You are correct. My area (104) had many students after half time. That is fine with me as long as they stay for the game. The seats are available, and I am sure the sun was in the face on the other side. Hopefully in the future they will have to stay in their seats because the stadium is full.

Saw Papa Dia - He was in section 107 close to the field. There is nothing else I can really say other than he was extreamly tall and not as slender as Bamba...
