are no longer listed on the roster.

LB Todd Alexander rated 2 stars 5.3 by Rivals

OL David Allison rated 2 stars 5.4 by Rivals

DB Emerson Settle rated 2 stars 5.3 by Rivals

Just curious as to why they are no longer with us :?: :?: :?:

awhile back someone posted that David Allison left during two-a-days, and moved back to his Houston-area home. Not playing elsewhere.

I heard Allison enrolled at Houston, but no longer is interested in playing football.

Not sure about Alexander. I heard he "decided he didn't want to play college football" and never enrolled.

Settle, I believe, was an academic casualty.

I am surprised and sorry to hear about all of them, but especially Allison. His Dad had some posts on Ponyfans and I had the impression that he was in love with the school. I really thought he was going to be a good one for us and wish him well.

Alexander -- never joined the team. Was a grayshirt and it seems like he didn't show up after last year.

Settle -- Ha. Emerson's facebook profile claimed he made a 1420 on the SAT...guess not.

Allison -- I don't think he found he was cut off for collegiate football. I heard he didn't report for 2-a-days at all.

I thought Alexander had a back injury that just wasn't improving and so fell through.

Settle - Don't know about academics, but he left for personal reasons also. Children can be an issue for a D1 athlete...

that REALLY dissapoints me. I remember thinking Allison would be a starting tackle for us as early as his sophomore year. He had some solid offers coming out of high school, and was my favorite OL we recruited last year. We're pretty thin at tackle, which is why we're having to move guys like Lucky DeLay and Chase Smith there, that position scares me for the next couple years after Burley/Johnson are gone.
