TCU BB Recruiting under Scrutiny

Postby Stallion » Tue Oct 17, 2006 11:10 am

interesting discussion on www.killerfrogs.com and www.texasroundball.com about TCU's 3 commitments from God's Assembly an unaccredited diploma mill which is the target of NCAA investigation. Very funny link to the God' Assembly website which proclaims "student SATs roised 50%". This sets an unprecedented new low for TCU. Daughtery must be getting very desperate as these 3 players aren't even considered top prospects.

Have you seen his teams play? I would be, too.
He'd better recruit some studs, because his coaching isn't going to win them any games.

Welcome to the seedy world of club ball - one in which SMU damn near got drawn into last year.

Miller is a sleaze and that "school" is a joke. Lot of sad stories going on over there. TJ Clarke is a good example. A kid who dominated when he was 12 and now hanging on at the age of 19 hoping some big time school will offer him. It ain't gonna happen but he and his dad won't believe it so they hook up with Tim and willingly drink that kool aid. His dad drug him all over the state changing aau teams every year - sometimes 2 or 3 times, changing high schools 3 times........sad. Granstaff and Jazz - just as bad or worse........

TCU - word of advice, you better run from this tar baby...............

Bad stuff. The true underbelly and dirty secret of college basketball. These schools have been around in the east for a long time. The practice of "reclassification" has been going on in that part of the country for a very long time-lots of 19 and 20 year olds playing HS/Prep School basketball. I wonder why the SAT scores "roised" 50%??? Good pinch hitters???? TCU isn't the only regional school recruiting at these places. OU, Baylor, Oklahoma State, A & M are all active recruiters of these bogus schools. See Gary Flowers-attended Roosevelt, Palo Duro, Lincoln, and finished up his stellar education at Geneiss One somewhere in Mississippi where he could take 6-8 core coures to replace grades at the other schools and get qualified. That didn't stop A & M from getting a commitment from him and then Ok. State stealing him away and eventually signing him. He lasted a few weeks in Stillwater before getting the boot for possession of dope. Go to bed with high risk and end up at the clinic!!!!! You are very right Friarwolf...TCU had better be very careful with this.

most highly sought graduate of God's Assembly is Jeremy Mayfield who will be at UAB after initially committing to OU.

Interesting, I thought they would only be getting 5 star studs after building their practice facility.

Give TCU a clone of coach Doh and we'll see which model is more successful.
