Scout.com is reporting that this guy now has "medium interest" in SMU, along five other schools.

Junior College: Navarro (Texas) Junior College
Prepped at Houston (Texas) Forest Grove, graduating in 2004. Named honorable mention all-Southwest Junior College Conference pick in 2005. Will graduate in December with three years of eligibility remaining to play two seasons.

Reports medium interest in each. Iowa State is the only school to offer so far.

I’m not too familiar with Scout.com, but Rivals lists him as a two-star (5.4) safety. A report from 10/27 says he loved his Iowa St visit and is very high on the Cyclones. No mention of SMU......only Iowa St, Texas A&M and Hawaii.

Stallion has long stated that all JUCOs on Rivals are rated 2 star if I remember correctly.

Right on -- I'll take this guy. A ready-to-play safety could be the first in this class to make a significant impact.

a Rivals story on 10/27 did mention SMU. The report came from an Iowa St source so it mostly focused on the Cyclones but he did mention he thought SMU would be the second school to offer. Resby says he committed to TCU out of high school but walked-on to Navarro "because he didn't pass the test". We'll see. He says he is planning to graduate in December so that is a good sign.
Rivals is pretty weak on JUCOs-or more precisely has been in previous years-especially Texas JUCOs because they have no editor covering Texas JUCO Football like some sources do in California and Kansas-two other JUCO hotbeds. Rivals does give some kids 3-5 Stars but the depth of their coverage has obviously not been great.

BTW I checked Rivals' and this year they have 50 Texas JUCOs in their Database so it appears they are improving their coverage from previous years. Last year they had 28 Total Texas Jucos in the Database and that was at the end of the recruiting season. They had less than 10 at this point last year.
