More importantly for SMU is who are we recriuitng in Houston. Don't much care who Rice is recruiting as we will only see them once a year.

We did not want any of them anyway.

Chris Jones, as far as I can tell, is the best of that bunch. But I also agree with Stampede -- they can get whoever they want from here. If SMU gets the best possible players, it doesn't matter if they're from Dallas or Seattle or Miami or anywhere in between. Our recruits matter more than any recruits at any other school.

SMU was also mentioned in connection with the Justin Hill kid from Lake Dallas although I'm not sure how strong our interest was. He had listed SMU prominently with High Interest. Hill was No. 83 in the DMN Top 100

that Chris Jones kid is an intriquing prospect-a legitimate 6-2, 190 an unconfirmed 4.4. In addition to the 3 offers he had an unofficial visit to Arkansas. Texas Tech and Kansas were also reportedly involved. He also finished 4th at the Texas Relays in the 110 meter Hurdles. He sounds like a very nice prospect.

the Rashard Robinson kid -as of October 27-had offers from Rice, Tulane and Louisiana Monroe and was getting strong interest from Iowa St., Baylor and Purdue. At least Rice is outrecruiting somebody-in years past it seemed uncommon for any other schools to be associated with about 2/3rds of their class. They seemed to have streamlined admissions as Hatfield generally had very few commitments until December and now they are up to about 13.

Todd Graham starting to embarass Coach Phil in his own backyard now picking up a very nice commitment from Mesquite Horn LB Aaron Williams 6-3, 210 4.6 with reported offers (from Rivals) of Arkansas, Purdue, Tulane, and SMU. Rice now has 10 commitments from the Dallas Ft. Worth Metroplex alone and 7 are in the DFW Area Top 100.

He did the same thing to us, when he was with Tulsa.

The best of the good players will want to go to bowl teams. Let's fight with NTSU for the rest.

If Todd Graham is frustrating you just wait for Coach Dodge. Oh to be a mustang fan-always the fat ugly bridesmaid.
