Man that is really encouraging. Something about this kid shooting over 80% of his Free Throws last year tells me he has some real potential since he has got the size already.

Bowie beat a pretty good Lubbock Monterey team in the final. Other teams in the tounament included Southlake Carroll, Mineral Wells, FW Arlington Heights, South Houston and Adamson.

Nyakundi scored 21 of Arlington Bowie's 32 points in a win over Irving last Nite.

I believe it is safe to say that we are going to get good in basketball. With Doherty's ability to evaluate talent and recruit that talent, and then COACH that talent, there is no question about the future of SMU basketball.

Nyakundi had a game-high 20 pts in a 52-46 loss to Cedar Hill. Nyakundi went head-to-head with Cedar Hill's Wale Ogunoye (Rivals 3 star and was recruited by Arkansas, Texas Tech, SMU, Stanford and Florida St, but signed with Tarleton St????) who finished with 19.

Nykundi scored 21 and 22 points in the Holiday Tournaments in very low scoring games. Of the games I've seen he generally scores about 40-45% of their points. Not sure they have another offensive threat.

it looks real good since he is consistently scoring twice what he did as a Junior and is carrying his team. I have little doubt that at 6-8 or so he would be much higher rated based upon his Senior performance. I would think he would definitely be rated a Top 25-30 or so-but I haven't really had access to reports on all his games. But he's consistently scoring 20+ per game in games I heard reported-definitely an improved player from last year.

He had a team-high 13 pts in a win last night over Arlington. Bowie plays #1 state-ranked Duncanville next Tuesday. Should be interesting to see what he does against a team with three major D-I prospects.

Nyakundi had one of his better games in awhile with 27 points in an 84-68 Arlington Bowie loss to Ducanville
