TE Jordan Scroggins
Posted: Sun Dec 31, 2006 4:10 pmThe Euless Trinity TE, according to Rivals, has offers from Houston, Tulane and UTEP, and reportedly has equal interest (medium) in those three schools, as well as SMU and TCU. Anyone know what kind of interest, if any, SMU has in him? The reason I ask is that I talked to a guy (a former player) who has seen him play a few times, and he likes Scroggins a lot. I gather many project him as an interior lineman at the next level (rivals lists him at 6-2, 257, 4.
. Said he has decent speed and excellent hands, and has that knack for finding seams in the defense to serve as a safety valve for his quarterback. Also said he is an absolutely crushing blocker, hence the assumption that if he continues to grow, he might grow into a guard or tackle. The guy I talked to is someone whose opinion I respect a great deal, but I haven't heard how interested -- if at all -- SMU is in Scroggins. Anyone hear anything?
