Recruits at the basketball game

Postby Otto » Sun Jan 07, 2007 1:18 pm

I counted about 13 or 14 guys who I guessed were recruits. The current players who were with them -- hosts, I assume -- included Justin Willis, Jordan Johnson (who was sitting with Youri Yenga), Ben Poynter, Tommy Poynter, A'Darius Medford, among others.

There was one guy who looked extremely impressive. Obviously a lineman -- big kid with a buzz haircut. Sat in front of Justin Willis in a red warmup jacket. No idea who he was, but what an impressive-looking guy. When they left the game, he didn't look like he's that tall (6 feet? 6-1?), but he's really thick (maybe 290? 300?), and has wide shoulders and long arms, which made me think he could strap on more weight. Anyone have an idea who he was? Where's he from?

I saw that guy, and was he is a seriously stout guy. Not sure how big he is, but he sure doesn't have much fat on him. Looked strong - really strong.

Could it have been Carlos Cuevas?

If it wasn't, anybody heard anything on him lately?

If you're talking about the same guy I saw there, it wasn't Cuevas. Not sure who it was, but I've seen pictures of Cuevas, and that wasn't him.
Haven't heard anything about that guy lately, either.
