What's the latest on this guy? Anyone know if he's still considering us?

I found it interesting that despite all the suspicions that his mystery school is Kansas, Rivals doesn't confirm an offer from Kansas.
At first, I thought Okie State. But he says it's "not too far from home...you could say." I think the 'you could say' says it's not Okie State.
Maybe it's SMU?
I'm thinking K-State. And that's just a guess. I did see where he says he's going to lay the hats out in front of him on signing day and put one on. That could spell trouble for us...how many SMU hats is one likely to find for sale in Lawton?

De'von Bailey says it's "not too far from home...you could say." Norman is only about an hour and fifteen minutes from Lawton if that . I would say the hat trick will turn up OU.

Another good reason to blow off the Mavs -- come and learn whether or not the great De'von Bailey will be joining the Stangs.
Also, just to be clear, Recruiting Roundup is the in-depth, never to be equaled coverage of Mustang Football recruiting that PonyPride and SmooPower put together for PonyFans.com every year. Player interviews, high school coach interviews, interviews with Phil, photos and stats... we got it all.
SMU calls their event "National Signing Day 2007" and will be held at the Radisson Central on Feb 7 at 5:15. Make sure to RSVP to Hayley Shalley at 214.768.2582 or
[email protected]

If we can grab Bailey and the kid Stanford cut, we will have some great athletes in the secondary the next few years.

With a 5.6, 3 star rating from Rivals, I would venture to guess that he would be our highest recruit in quite a while. Unless Richuel Massey or that Mosley kid was ranked higher.

Wouldn't he be the second-highest rated post-DP recruit (after Mosley)?
Come on, De'Von, it's time to be a Mustang!

Rivals didn't have ratings for Massey's class, only stars. For Mosely, I have no clue if they even had stars.
I would say that their post high-school rankings would be quite a bit lower if such rating did exist.

No matter how high the rankings were for Massey and Mosely, both ended up labeled as "busts" as college football players......
