SMU held Jr. days the past two weekends. Here are the results:

SMU day: 116 studs
Rivals day: 312 studs

And they are all on SMU's beautiful campus and at fabulous Ford Stadium.

Here is a little more sunshine for you negative types from Inside the 40 acres (Geoff Ketchum):

First, let me say that SMU does a great job at hosting this event and I want to give special thanks to SMU recruiting coordinator Eric Roark, who is one of the nicest and most genuine guys in this business.

Overall, it was a very solid turnout. Hell, the first three guys I saw today were RJ Washington, Jermie Calhoun and Dan Buckner. Let me just go ahead and give a quick report on each of these guys to get started.

I did the heights and weights for everyone there, except for these three because they showed up at the event before I did. All heights were done barefoot.

Post of the day!!!

To quote Dennis Parker, formerly the 1990 Texas 5A Big School State Champion Marshall Mavericks and NTSU coach (currently of Mesa, AZ),
"My job is to make offensive lineman; God makes running backs."

Stampede, it sounds like you were there or have some knowledge about the recruits and their response to the SMU camps. I assume it is too early for us to get commits given our status in the pecking order. So I guess the BIG question is whether or not any of the better players developed an interest in coming to SMU? What was your impression? Granted that most of these recruits have grown up wanting to go to Texas, except for Washington whose Dad is an SMU grad but has committed to that soon to go on limited probation school OU. Do you think there were any Josh LeRibeus types at either camp that would like to commit to us early? Inquiring minds want to know!
