What a fantastic showing of recruits at the Red/Blue game yesterday. I've never seen anywhere near that many at our games, and some of them looked like really good size guys. Saw nametags on two of them (heights and weights from Rivals):
Dallas (Lake Highlands) RB D.J. Monroe (5-8, 191)
Sharyland TE David Adame (6-2, 208)

Monroe is a very solid, strong guy. I saw him play last fall, and thought he was taller than 5-8. Very shifty guy who changes directions in a flash.

Is Clint Mentzel the brother of our punter from a couple of years ago, Ryan Mentzel? I seem to recall that Ryan was from Midlothian.

Got to be related, right? How many Mentzel families can there be in Midlothian?
Several of these guys sound like they might make BUS swoon!

Yes sir reeeee.
It all comes down to this example. Say we also get that Lake Highlands runner - Smurf size but really thick... If he has some big strong men up front - he is a good player. If not, he gets KILLED.
It ALL starts with the guys in the trenches.

BUS - you got that right. A great line makes good talent better. A bad line makes great talent worse. It all starts up front.

Saw a guy wearing a Highland Park Football t-shirt with the No. 77 on it. Pretty big.
Anyone know who that is/was?

Is this a different DJ Monroe than the one who is committed to Texas?

If he can dance.. in other words, if he has quick feet, I am sure we can put another 30-40 pounds on him.
