Fort Bend (Hightower) QB Marc Ellis (6-5, 210, 4.6) has SMU on the list of schools where he plans to attend camp and calls SMU one of his "top schools." No offers yet. Fully qualified (3.0 GPA, 21 ACT, 1350 SAT).

Stat package: 700-800 yards passing, 5 TDs (against 5 INTs), 1,000 rushing yards, 6 TDs."

Basketball Stats: Despite his height projecting him to play a power forward or center position in basketball, kid actually quartebacks the basketball team as well by playing the point.

Weight Room Nunmbers: 265 Bench, 205 Incline, 275 Squat and 185 Power Clean."

With size and speed like that, you'd think he would have offers by now. What gives? No arm? His stats from last year aren't eye-popping, but they're not as bad as if, say, I was playing QB. You'd think that with a tall kid with good wheels, some coach would jump on him, thinking if he can get him early, he could keep him and teach him the game.

On raw numbers alone, the appeal is there. Keep after him, coaches.
