Scout shows we've offered, he has medium interest, and is the #48 CB in the nation. Competing with Iowa State, Kansas State, Okie State, New Mexico, and Tulsa. He has interest in OU, but they haven't offered. Would be a good grab by PB if he can pull it off.

Most of the film I review is of Texas players, but I've seen this guy play, and he's definitely a legitimate D-IA prospect. As a QB, he's a better runner than passer -- has a little pinball action to him the way he bounces off one guy and hits full speed in a new direction, with a very low center of gravity. But his future is at CB, I assume. He's short but very thick and muscular. He's got a great burst and is a sure tackler, partially because he plays low and drives through his target. He can have trouble with really big WRs, as all short CBs do, but he can run with just about any WR out there, times his jump well and anticipates very well, allowing him to "jump the route" pretty effectively. He has good hands for a DB, and when he gets his hands on the ball, his offensive ball-carrying skills take over - excellent return man who also could return kicks at the next level.

Okay I love the fact we are recruiting the cornerback position, but Guru, when we get a mean and nasty O lineman and a mean and nasty LB, then I'll be happy. How about giving us a few four stars there?

I don't deliver them, I just evaluate them. And I don't follow the progress of commitments much, so I might be talking about a guy who's already committed somewhere. If I've seen a guy, either in person or on film, I'll throw in my two cents. I really don't see many Oklahoma guys at all - this guy was a coincidental exception.

New Rivals article indicates that he likes Eric Roark down at SMU. "I'm going down for their camp on Saturday. They want me to come play quarterback. I would be pretty interested in that for sure." Rivals rates 3 Stars, 5.6.
Too bad that he is only 5-9, 180 lbs so I guess he also is not qualified for the SMU!

Eric Roark has been a busy man. He recruited both Gunn and Beasley.
Douglas has some nice numbers too.
Forty: 4.45 secs
Bench max: 255 pounds
Squat max: 465 pounds
Vertical: 32 inches

The man can recruit, there's no question about that. What was it — two years ago he was named one of the top five non-BCS recruiters in the country?
Here's to making a great impression on some top recruits at the camp.

I believe there is a George Strait song that would apply here if this kid truly believes he will get a shot at QB. Trivia time- who can name the tune that goes with this comment????

I believe that you're right Icon. In fact, I'm drawing up the paperwork right now to sell Mr. Douglas some Oceanfront Property in Arizona.

being recruited at QB...wow.
He seems like a great athlete, but it seems like the only way we can get him is by offering him as a QB, which it seems other schools aren't.
Maybe he'll like it here and play a position he's more suited to eventually, but I would have no problems with getting a superior athlete like him to sign, even though it's another 5'9" guy. It's the 5'9" sleepers that I dont like

Just watching video and this guy can play. I hope we sign him. Great CB prospect. Sign him and let him have a shot at QB.

Sure, give him a shot. Then tell him "son, you're going to be a star CB. Get over there with the guys in the secondary." Everything I've read says this guy can really cover.
