All I can say is "wow"

Kids commiting before highschool now? I really did not expect it to ever come to this. Think about being at lunch as an 8th grader talking about your scholarship from USC to play hoops.

I was always under the impression it looked really bad for a school to rescind on an offer based on a prospect not developing into the player expected or injury. The article indicates some will go through with the offer (Tubbs at Kentucky did, so did Olson with Wise at Arizona), while others have no problem pulling the offer.

Interesting read.

Didn't Wake Forest offer a 7-8th grader QB a few years back?

Yes, they offered Chris Leak whose brother was a Wake QB at the time. Ultimately, the older Leak got hurt and transferred to Tenn. and the younger Leak went on to win a NC at Florida after starting there for at least 3 seasons and maybe 4.

If I were the women's golf coach I would be offering Tiger's daughter now. Then again I would probably have to spend too much of my time keeping Jtstang away from my players to be offering anyone.

Way to get the forum deleted.
