Beat out Tulsa and Houston, both of which offered him.

Another huge get! Welcome to SMU, Andrew. This is another guy who I think will get upgraded to a 3 star.

early reports quoted him as saying he had an "oral offer from Texas Tech" but later reports didn't mention it. Went to a lot of camps at BCS schools where he reportedly performed well by both analysts and himself-he claimed he was dominant at all the camps he attended. Many of these schools want him at LB but I think he's been more of a TE in high school. Some schools said they wanted tape on him at LB before offering-so he still could get some more recruiting interest if he performs well at LB. No real confirmation on Rivals unverified 4.49 Forty but of course that would be outstanding and prototype LB numbers for a kid verified at 6-2.5, 225 by Rivals. Seems like this is a kid who did get strong interest if not offers from a large group of BCS schools mostly Big 12. Has the size and apparent quickness to move to DE too if he continues to grow. Only had 2 catches for 83 yards and scored on both catches but he feels like he would be a better LB. Arkansas and Houston wanted him as an H-Back.

One story I saw (I think it was on Rivals — not sure) called him "one of the best pass catchers in the state." Of course, that was just opinion, and if he had that low a receptions total, that opinion must be based on watching him in warm-ups.

When I saw his size and quickness, I wondered about the linebacker possibility.

Welcome to SMU, Andrew :!:
he feels like he would be a better LB. Arkansas and Houston wanted him as an H-Back.
...............At 6' 2" 225 and running a 4.4 FORTY, this guy could probably play alot of different positions. Sounds like a great athlete. Hell, give him a shot at HB, LB,DE, or TE. Just get him on the field ! WELCOME TO SMU !!!
