Tyler Wilson, QB for Greenwood, Arkansas (5-A St. Championship game 2006) has committed to Tulsa over offers from Missouri, Alabama, LSU, Arizona and others. His coach and Malzahn are friends and they run the same offense as Malzahn.

Arkansas does have some good athletes, especially in the southern area that I wish we would go after. We seem to hit north Louisiana so I do not see why we could not venture north a little and try for some. Many are anxious to leave the state and Dallas would be a viable option if offered.

What about hiring Malzahn as our next head coach? He seems to be an excellent recruiter and innovater on the offensive side. Just a thought.

Malzahn would be interesting but he is still an unknown from a D-1 standpoint. I would hope that IF we were in the market for a new coach that Orsini would have inroads to someone with more experience and proven ability. But maybe not. Right now I am still counting on Bennett to right the ship.

Tulsa's got a great kid coming next year from San Antonio Reagan, RB Marcus Wright. He has put up some amazing numbers including over 400 yards rushing in a playoff game last year. I wonder why PB does not recruit the SA area. I believe it is in the 300 mile radius. The last one I remember was Chris Bordano and he turned out to be pretty darn good.
