Found this:

Justin Haynes (6'6" Jr. SG-SF, Palmdale (CA) High) He isn't the primary scorer on his team, but looks like he has the skills to do that. He has a good frame and scored on a couple of drives and knocked down a three-pointer, going for 13 points in a win for his team. High-major minus prospect.

This must be the guy Doh referenced in his blog.

Apparently his team was a big underdog in this game despite being ranked #13 in the city/area. Palamade won and our boy had a game high 23m points. Article claims him as 6'7 but seeing him as 6'5, or max 6'6, in all other articles.

I'm happy to have Justin on our team but they are really stretching how tall he is. No way in heck this kid is 6'5. See the picture.

Two-sport star, too, per the caption in the picture. Sweet! Hopefully he switches to some Kurt Rambis-type goggles though.

Great picture. I didn't know that he was 6'5" in circumference?

This class had been pretty far under the radar for Doh. Not doubting the man as a talent evaluator, but its not what I expected coming off last years haul. Obviously, Dubois plays against great competition, but he's a combo when we had a need at PG. Haynes has less press on him than most any kid I've seen get a ship in a while. Clarke is the missing link. He has some good state rankings, but was really a non-entity for The Family in AAU ball.

Anyway, suffice it to say, I was hoping for a little bit more. We really don't stand to see what this program is about till Harp/Dia & Rhodes are juniors.

Couldn't have said it better. I was wondering if it was just me. Thought he would zero in on some point guards. Maybe next year.

Everyone is very high on Mike Walker, who is a true point. Ryan Harp played PG for his AAU team the Dallas Mustangs. Dubois is a combo guard. Also, I know SMU has an offer out to a PG here in Houston at Klein Collins that is very heavily recruited nationally, forgetting the exact name but I think is Demetric Goodson. I've posted on him a couple times on here.

It was my understanding we only had 3 scholarships available.
