Biography:
A defensive tackle from Waller, Texas, he is 6-2, 265 pounds and lightning quick. He ran the 100 meters for Waller in a track meet this spring. He also plays baseball and is the designated runner and has stolen a number of bases this season. Most sources list Brown as a 4.6 in the 40-yard dash, but he recently clocked in at 4.53.

Supposedly SMU and Baylor have offered. Nebraska, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech allegedly are interested.

Sounds like a carbon copy of Adrian Haywood. Hope he plays the same way - and ends up at SMU, of course.

That guy's a physical freak with that size and speed. Wonder if he can play?

Rivals rates 3 stars, 5.5 and says that Tech, Arkansas, Houston, Minnesota, Ole Miss, Nebraska, and OSU have offered. There is no listing of SMU or Baylor on the Bio.

Damn...another conspiracy against SMU recruiting.

he's citing Scout not Rivals. I don't know but often Scout is pretty outdated. I checked on Rivals-they have over 20 reports on Brown. I decided to check the last 5 updates-and on the 5th oldest update about 3 months ago he did mention SMU positively among a top 5 or so but hasn't reported SMU on later reports. And I'd rather have a fit 265 pound defensive lineman over a tub of lard 330 pound defensive lineman any day. Weight is overrated. He will be big enough once he gets on a weight lifting program. Fat is bad. Fat makes you slow.
