of course it does; that's why we've had so much trouble these past 20 years.
You like to invite recruits in for great "atmosphere" games and that usually means playing former SWC mates like TTech. The problem is that after you get crushed and and the recruits see that TTech brought most of the "crowd", it becomes a tough sell.

Brian Bosworth committed to SMU after the 17-17 tie with Arkansas which gave SMU an undefeated season, SWC Championship and Cotton Bowl berth. However, post-game commits are notorious for switching-especially Juniors.

Meadows could have made him a better actor.

What? Are you saying his performance in "Stone Cold" was not Oscar worthy? I will send you the Boz's Box Collection.

You are the one that bought it. He has been looking for you to thank.
I do not know if it is the movie to which you refer, but he shot one in Little Rock. There was a scene where the US Capitol was blown up so they filmed it at the Arkansas Capitol which is a dead ringer for the US building. Apparently it is cheaper for the Arkansas tax payers to have to keep building ours back.

same thing happened for alabama... after the cotton bowl defeating TT... Southlake Carroll QB Greg McElroy was committed to TT, but after the cotton bowl switched to Alabama...

Stallion, you are right about that. I remember a couple of years back when Wardog (Chris Hall) committed to us. He insisted several times on this forum that he would NOT change his commitment, but, of course, he did to Texas. Traitor! Shows what his word is worth, which is not very much!

I remember all that; Chris was going to join the Chase brothers and help turn this program around. Is he getting any playing time at Texa$? Did he turn out to be a player? I seem to recall his older brother, who had encouraging size at LB but I gather no wheels, didn't last very long. Where did he transfer to and did he even continue playing football?

Recruiting helps winning.
A few years ago Mizzery started recruiting lights out and winning some battles for recruits they normally wouldn't. That is finally paying off.

If that tree was in Orange County, it just burned down to the ground!
