Per Rivals, 6-1, 220 lbs, 4.52 forty. While the state of Texas hasn't produced many big-time linebackers in the last decade, many around the state are starting to believe that Williams has a chance to be a special player.

Just last week the 6-1, 230 pound linebacker soared into the top linebacker spot in the Lone Star Recruiting rankings for the Class of 2009. He then followed it up with a dominating performance in Abilene's 37-14 win over Midland Lee.

Tech has offered and he is pretty sure that Baylor has offered (Huh? I guess the offers are going through his high school coach.) We are on his list. He camped with us this past summer as well as at Tech and TCU. His favorite team is, of course, Texas. It would be nice to see us get an early offer in, but I guess we will have to see who the next coach is and hope he jumps on this guy quickly. At least he has visited SMU and has an idea of what the campus looks like.
