But I'm with you, I bet a few of the big boys from Trinity end up here.

I'm not sure Gray would return his phone calls. I think He'd be a very hard sell for the run and shoot.

Gray is probably not an option now. But... you never know.

Are you kidding? Gray would excel in the Run/Shoot, IMHO.
Part of the reason that University of Houston was as effective as they were was Chuck Witherspoon...bowling ball of a back...durable, quick, tough. If somebody said that Gray would get the majority of the carries within two years (redshirt and introduction into RS-FR year), I'd say he ought to seriously look at it. And what about Byron Hanspard at Tech...they have always been pass-happy with Dykes before Leach. You gotta be kidding me. Gray or some similar would be awesome!

Gray could be a featured back and utilize all his talents like no other in the R&S offense.

Sidenote, I was thinking of great runningbacks to play in the RUn & Shoot offense, and wikipedia suggested that the Lion's offense with Barry Sanders was actually a R&S. Any confirm this?

Detroit Lion's coach was Mouse Davis. Uh...yeah. It was Run/Shoot.

Not to be a pain but the Detroit coach was primarily Wayne Fontes...Mouse was only there for '89 and '90.

I guess the question is the 1997 year that Barry went for 2053 yards, was under Bobby Ross...but what offense was being run?

No clue. Does it matter? Sanders could do whatever he wanted whenever and whereever he wanted.

Sanders played most of the time in the run and shoot. bad offense to be in when everyone knows he's getting the ball most of the time even as much as they ran.
