From what I saw, he threw the ball well in their 5-A State Game. It would be good to pull a couple of QB's into the new JJ system for for 2010 or 2011.

Wasn't that Lake Travis? Their QB Garrett Gilbert is a stud. Elite 11 4-star guy.

Gilbert is a no questions 5 star recruit and likely will be one of the top 3 or 4 quarterbacks in the nation. One of the editors over at the Texas Rivals site thinks Gilbert is the best pure passing prospect that Texas has produced in over a decade. Looks like right now he's likely to commit to the Longhorns as he's made it public that he plans to attend their Feb. 10th Junior Day and that's the only Junior Day trip he has planned.

they may be "your" scots but definitely not "our" scots. There is a "real" world outside HP and UP.

Gilbert was o.k. - but he aint no Stafford. I would put him with Colt skill-wise.
