What a change for SMU that we got an RB going on the rivals site asking how to get in touch with SMU about a schollie?

Check this kid out...he is unranked by Rivals but at 5'10'' 201 kid plays tough and looks like a good single back option for JJ. No clue if his 40 time is verified but 4.5 seconds is nice and he does run away from people in the highlight videos.

4.5 is pretty quick. I wonder if JJ is even pursuing RBs at this point?

No clue but kid wants to be considered. Apparently sent in his tapes and tried to get in touch with Randy Ross but he isn't in the office.

DavidSMU94 has been helping him out, but I also told Kortlin to try coming on here and seeing if anyone with contacts can at least get him in touch with the right people

I really think any advocate of the program contacting a potential recruit is a generally bad idea.

Give him SO's phone number. I guarantee he will be directed accordingly.

All you have to do is call the football office. The admin will pick up. She will tell you everything that you need to know. All he has to say is I am a running back and im interested in SMU, he will then be informed of the process. If you are not highly recruited, this is how it works.

Sorry didn't mean to imply that Kortlin was being helped in anyway other than being given a contact to call and follow up with

Hey Guys, all I did was send the info on the kid to the athletic office, and mentioned he had been trying to get ahold of them. They can handle it from there.

Kortlin is really a great person and looks like he could be a very good Div1 RB. Not sure why the lack of interest other than he is from a small school with little history.

Hope he hooks up with SMU or another program. Think once he gets a chance a lot of schools will regret passing on him.

Its a great sign to see that with the new hire we actually have kids COMING TO US asking how they can play for us. Hasn't been like that in a long time and I am glad to see the small steps to turn this thing around already taking place.
