(Rivals 3-star, 6-4/191, WR from Garland, 4.5-40) I thought I remembered him being mentioned on this board at some point, but I can't seem to find the thread. He's got offers from Utah, UNLV, ULM, and SMU. Any update on this kid? (Sorry if I'm overlooking the thread.)

Has a twin brother. Wonder if we have any interest in a package deal?

His twin Courtney, is listed as a 3* 6'2'' "Athlete". Only has a UNLV offer according to Rivals so they might be looking to play together there.

Does anyone know if we are still recruiting Steve Osborne?

According to Rivals, both brothers have Nebraska offers and will visit this weekend.

This may have been a new development since you posted, but Rivals lists Courtney as having Kansas and Nebraska offers as well.

It would be nice to get two 3 stars as a package deal.

It also would be nice to continue bringing talent from south Garland after we got Josh Robinson last year.

Can't wait to see Robinson play. Saw him play in HS, and he was a stud.

Somehow I don't see them passing up the opportunity to play at Nebraska

Getting killed by the rest of the big 12 in the snow playing for a has been program, or hanging on the vard and winning the CUSA with JJ? Not that hard a choice in my book.

The Osborne brothers are an appealing pair, and everyone seems to think a school will take both in order to get Steven, the more highly regarded of the two. (My file says Steven is 6'3.5", 188.) He plays bigger than he is — he has long arms and legs, and is a terrific leaper. On the other hand, he has very long strides and doesn't cut very well, yet, but that can be taught. He's at his best running deep (fly, post) routes and simply running past and jumping over DBs, but with solid coaching, he could become a fine, all-around receiver. Think more Dwayne Jarrett than Terrell Owens. As talented as he is, he might not play as quickly as Courtney. Labeled as an athlete, most of the coaches I have talked to see Courtney as a defensive back, although they appear split on whether he projects as a safety or as a big cornerback. Courtney is quicker than his brother, and covers well — he can run with many WRs, and can get up and battle for high balls. Hands are average. Versatility will allow Courtney to play multiple positions and contribute early. Will be a surpise if they don't end up at Nebraska.

The reason he projects to play defense, I assume?

Well that's depressing. They should be Mustangs.

Tend to agree with Guru on this one...there is little chance that these brothers come home from Nebraska and decide to play for us.
