Will visit SMU along with Utah St and Colorado St. Kid is the one of those who Gundy dropped in favor of JUCOs. OkieSt getting a lot of backlash all over the state on this and will really effect their recruiting in the future.

would be an excellent pickup late in the game. For those who may be restricted, at one time he apparently had offers also from Washington St. Purdue, Kansas, Louisiana Tech as well as Oklahoma St. commitment. Rated 5.4 and 2 stars.

MAD COACH Part Dieu
Jones dropped by Cowboys
Just got off the phone with Richland coach Gene Wier, who informed me that linebacker Victor Jones is no longer committed to Oklahoma State.
"They dropped him,'' Wier said. "They dropped all contact."
Saying Wier is upset would be an understatement. Wier said it all began when last season started. Wier said Oklahoma State came to the Rebels' second game, and wanted to reevaluate him. Conversations continued, and Wier said that Cowboys coaches basically told him they didn't think it would be in Jones' best interests to come to Stillwater.
Jones has visits set up to SMU, Utah State and Colorado State. Wier said he believes Utah State and Colorado State have made Jones offers. -Trae Thompson

No 49 on the DMN Area Top 100. The "great" Max Emfinger has him rated as a 5 star Strong Safety.*
*the foregoing is not a recommendations or endorsement of the "great" Max Emfinger.

He has an offer from SMU. I assume this is from Bennett.

Stats probably from Junior Year
Jones reports a 300-pound bench press max, a 400-pound squat max, can power clean 335 pounds, has a 37-inch vertical jump, and a 10-foot broad jump. As a junior, Jones earned first team All-District 5-5A with 92 tackles, 46 unassisted, 6 sacks, and a blocked punt.

Way to stay on top of it Stallion. Keep the good information coming! Bring on V. Jones! Hopefully, since Ok St pulled Mesquite WR Adrian Richards' (6 ft 4 in with a 4.4 40) scholarship, maybe SMU can get him to visit too.

The size and 40 time are not bad. I would bet a dime to a dollar that he got that rating because he plays for a mid-cities 5A school that has struggled over the last several years. Other than that, I don't know what would summon a higher rating.
And that's not an indictment of Gene Wier because Wier had a great tenure as a HS coach in Kansas -- think he won like 6 state titles.

How could they pull a scholarship from a WR that is 6'4" and has 4.4 speed? Last time I check Ok State was not a private school, so academic standards can't be too high. What am I missing? Are they that stacked with talent? Considering their record this past season, I wouldn't guess so.

Just speculating but I bet with all the money flowing in to the program from Pickens, there is tremendous pressure to win big and now. Cannot wait for freshman if proven, stud Juco's are available.

Panic in Stillwater. 7 JUCOs and possibly more!
