Dustin Bell Commits to Joining K-State in Fall

missed graduating JUCO at mid term by one course. Will take that course in DFW area in spring and join K-State in Fall. No mention of renewed interest in SMU based on Jones hire.

I would have to think that JJ is going to at least contact him. When do JUCOs sign?

Last month.
According to Rivals, he is committed and not yet signed.

Last month.

I guess last month was the date for december grads.

Assuming Dustin is someone that JJ might want on his team, I hope he can be convinced to take a visit to the hilltop.

he can sign on the February signing date for next year in 2 weeks

And you think he'll be eligible at SMU..K State seems like a better fit.

I think he will be eligible now. The Stallion Model is in place. And I say that with respect, Stallion. Should have happened long ago. I want this kid at SMU.

Just because he did not graduate at mid-term does not necessarily mean he has any academic problems. In any event, between his dad and his brother, I guess he knows more about SMU than most recruits. He will make a decision as to what program is best for him at this time assumning we are even recruiting him.

he just needs to pass one class but he did have an academic hiccup at UTEP before he went to JC. But I caution again he doesn't seem to be thinking about SMU based upon an updated report-but who knows-it was a K-State correspondent.

This is Derrius Mother. Dustin will always be interested in playing with his brother as they did back in the Wilmer Hutchins days, but he has to look out for his best interest. Dustin was thrilled when JJ came aboard and it did make him go hummmm. If Dustin doesn't go to SMU it won't be because it doesn't sound like a good thing, it will be that K-State fits him both education and athletic wise. I personally would love to see both my boys together again. They are very competitive and feed off of each other and can hype each other up. They both can't stand losing and will give it there all as you will see hopefully this year from Derrius.
