Someone on the rivals board said a linebacker last name of Odikari committed. Anyone have anything on this guy?

Are you talking about the Okla State linebacker who was arrested? Alex Odiari? He was dismissed from OSU in the fall for theft or something.
6' 235 lb nigerian nightmare.

I don't see it on the Ticker but I've speculated for about 6 months that Alex Odiari could be headed here. This would be a big-time pickup. Started a few games as a freshman at OSU. Starts immediately at SMU.

This guy has played 2 years at OSU and I guess set out last year as transfer year etc....So I guess we may have found our Senior middle linebacker huh ? If true....Huge deal for our defense next year !

here's some very interesting stories on Odiari coming out of high school. Same size as Yenga at the time-but reported now he is 40 pounds heavier.

to balance out some of the academic troubles mentioned in those articles early in his high school career it should be noted he made First Team Academic All Big 12 as a freshman.

Believe last year would be a redshirt so if he really sat all of last year he would have two years to play for us
