6-0, 168 rated 2 stars and 5.3 from Santa Ana Verbim Dei. The report said that June Jones has been in contact with him in recent days. Did get an official visit to UCLA in recent weeks but his Dad said they didn't offer. Had an in-home visit from SDSU. So far only an offer from Harvard

Is this the same as Mater Dei. They were like the Southlake Carroll of Southern Cal.

More like Shreveport Evangel than Southlake Carroll. They were/are good, certainly. But Mission Viejo has been arguably better than they were/are, as well as RSM & De La Salle in NoCal.

Mater Dei and Verbim Dei are two different high schools in Southern California.

this Boyer kid is the cousin of the guy some think is the No. 1 Junior QB in the Country. Had an excellent year but I don't think he has offers from the schools listed in this article based on the recent article I found which quoted his Dad.

I thought he was a Mater Dei kid - never heard of Verbum Dei, at least in Orange County... MDHS is one of the premier programs in OC, in that they excel at the highest level. Def a better program than Mission Viejo and RSM, and on par with Orange Lutheran.

So it's conceivable that Boyer is being recruited in part to create a longshot chance at his cousin? Well worth the risk, if you ask me.

Verbum Dei and MAter Dei are totally different schools. Verbum puts out its share of hoops recruits, not too familiar w/their gridiron squad
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.”- Jalen Jones
