With JJ, SO, and the rest of SMU being so quiet about football operations, including recruiting, do you think it's possible that JJ has asked some of the recruits to keep information to themselves? My only thought is that in an effort to keep extra pressure from schools off of recruiting targets JJ doen't want previously committed prospects talking.

I expect you're half-right. If he's going after a guy who already is committed elsewhere, he might well tell the guy not to say anything to anyone. But the fact that he also is making first contact with a bunch of guys and interviewing coaches to fill out his staff might partially explain it, too.

That, and the fact that he's not allowed to talk about recruits, anyway.
