Will JJ expand recruiting circle?

Postby GeorgiaMustang » Wed Jan 23, 2008 1:06 pm

Does anyone think that JJ will expand the recruiting search in the future to cover more areas than PB did? I know that he has already begun to look more places than Phil, but that isn't too hard considering PB really only looked in TX and some in OK.

From playing high-school ball in south Georgia, I know that there are many players in GA, AL, MS, TN, and LA who would be willing to look West for a school if they were not being recruited by some of the big boys like Georgia, Auburn, and Alabama.

Just a thought, but I think that for future recruiting it would help us really get some quality recruits. For those who want big linebackers, south georgia is a great place to look. I played against UGA linebacker Brandon Miller who just graduated. He is 6'4" 257 lbs. with a 4.65 forty, and he played at single A Miller County!
Those who complain about a problem are simply wasting time they could use to fix it.

Potential is nothing, performance is everything.

There are also a lot of good players in Ohio and Pennsylvania. However the competition for them is pretty stiff.

From the possible recruits we are hearing about, I think JJ has already expanded the circle. Plus, all the national press hasn't hurt.
Just send 'da money.

Why do you say that? The ONLY reason he did that was b/c that's what he had to work with at Hawaii. He's our coach now, not hawaii's. was he going after all the Samoan free agents when he was in the NFL? no.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

He specifically said he would continue to recruit there pointing out that some went as far away as Penn State so surely he could get them to come to Dallas.

Because he said during his press conference that his foundation was active in American Samoa and that as a result, he expected to continue recruiting there.
