"The coaches this past weekend were amazing," Banjo, who also had offers from UTEP, Navy and Sam Houston State, said. "I've already had a great relationship with them, and I knew a lot of them from when they were recruiting me at Hawaii. But in the end, I felt like SMU had a lot to offer me after football is over.
"I know that an SMU degree means a lot, and I felt that was something I couldn't pass up. I'm really excited about my decision. I'm a very solid commitment."
