Actually, it's Alan Ladd and there is an SMU connection. His granddaughter, Jordan, attended SMU my freshman year before she dropped to concentrate on acting.

But a classy hot. She's also an avid golfer. She appears in a lot of celebrity tournaments from what I gather.

I've never seen any connection to SMU from Turner except his friend Denzel Wells who he visited Fresno St with and who played an integral part in convincing Turner to turn down Boston College. I just know that June Jones would see Turner as one of the top Inside Receivers in this part of the country. Apparently though he still sees himself as a small RB.

possible transfer after he...

1) Tries to get through his first semester of classes.
2) Tries to find a date.
3) tries to carry on a conversation with anyone not on the football team.

I heard that they filmed the scene of Jack Palance mounting his horse, by filming him dismounting, then playing it backwards. There were two explainations provided for this: 1. That by filming the dismount and playing it backwards, you could tell that his charactor was just plain evil. 2. That Jack Palance was unable to mount a horse.

I like the first explanation, though the second seems more likely.
