I know it is very early...spring ball has not even begun and JJ has not had a chance to see everyone..but, what is your projected starting Offense assumung we go with 4 wide, no tight and one back?
QB: Justin Willis
RB: James Mapps
WR: Sanders, Haynes, Robinson and ???
OT: ??? and ???
OG: Liereibus and Lobo
C:Mitch Enright

I say Jamell Kennedy will be involved somehow, and the Shankle kid is also pretty intriguing.

QB Willis
RB Mapps
IR Al Robinson, Jesse Henderson
OR E. Sanders, Zimmerman
C Enright
OG LeRibeus, Lobo
OT, Poynter, C. Smith
This assumes that all of the true Freshmen get a redshirt, which isn't going to happen.

My default position on the team next season is that speed trumps size. That puts Martin backing up Mapps.
If we were playing the I, I'd have Martin starting.

I think that we will probably use some sort of rotation...mapps, martin, butler...

agreed with the I form school of thought, but I also like the idea of spreading out a defense and pounding away with Martin . . . but I bet a rotation is on the horizon . . . either way, whoever runs better run hard and learn to pick up alot of blitzs!!!

That would take care of 1st and 1, 2nd and 1 and 3rd and 1. Would we use McKinney for 4th and 1?

Im excited to see Bradley Haynes at WR...I think this kid is gonna be a player. Aldrick Robinson will compliment both Haynes and Sanders very nicely.
Where does Phillip Burley Fit into this equation? Is he too slow to play WR?
What about Vinny Chace??? TE is underutilized, almost non existent in JJ's offense...does Chase move to OT or DE?

Mapps is the best reciever of the bunch, and he has better moves than any of them. He has produced every time he has had an opportunity., so if he can prove that he is a capable blocker I think he should get the bulk of the playing time.

don't forget that JJ often used gigantic backs in his offense at hawaii such as 240 lb Nate Illoa and 280+ lb Regan Mauia. Martin is a very capable reciever. Don't be surprised if he does indeed contribute a lot.

D Mart could be that big back that JJ likes.

Maybe JJ and staff are the right guys to toughen him up.
