Any Denison Yellowjackets or Sherman Bearcats out there?

Postby papawasamustang » Mon Feb 11, 2008 10:35 pm

I'm sure many of you have made the quick 1 hr. trip up 75 to Lake Texoma going through the football tradition rich towns of Sherman & Denison.

I had the opportunity to watch the 2 schools play basketball this year.
After a few minutes it was obvious that there were some pretty good players out there. I remember looking at the program & noticing that the 2 players that really caught my attention had 10's by the class indicating they were sophmores.

Today I went to the TexasHoops website & I found where it listed the top recruits in the state for 2010. The # 2 recruit in the state is T.J. Taylor from Denison & the #3 recruit in the state is Cameron Clark from Sherman. This is really amazing to see a couple of kids from Denison & Sherman getting this kind of attention. BTW, the #1 recruit is from Duncanville (surprise).

I hope Doh is in on them. They didn't list any schools as favorites.
However, I do know that the Aggies were in attendance.

My dad relayed a story of school hopping he was privy to. I seem to remember some change in law that allows transfer under certain conditions. Is that right? Hoop, I be interested to hear about some other examples in DISD.

Jim Jeffcoat's son is a stud in football and hoops. I wonder if A&M is recruiting him for both?

I was really hoping that we would look @ Jim as a DLine coach.
He recently was hired as the DLine coach @ UofH so I'm sure they have the inside track for his son.
